Sometimes sweets like chocolate aren’t ideal for summer – running the risk of melting and making a mess. That’s why it’s time to try delicious summer breads.

Lemon Blueberry Summer Bread

Berries are in season during summer and fresh blueberries make some of the best ingredients in sweets! A lemon blueberry bread is easy to make with a satisfying, moist, bright loaf of bread with a refreshing lemon aftertaste and sour-sweet blueberries in every bite. Triple Spiced Pear Bread

Lightly spiced with cardamom and topped with a delightful cinnamon sugar crumble, this spiced pear bread is an easy quick bread. This loaf is dense, light, and packs a little bit of spicy with cool pears. Despite reminiscent of fall, this loaf is great to have year round! More of a cake than a bread, this spicy bread works great with a cinnamon or brown sugar topping!

Banana Bread

Banana bread is something you should be able to make anytime and anywhere, with a mixer or with a fork, in a loaf pan or in a muffin tin — whenever you have a few bananas going soft and freckly. The only requirement for banana bread is using baking soda and ripe bananas, with the flavor of banana intensifying the more ripe your bananas become.

If you’re looking for an interesting alternative, consider a PB and J banana bread! Add in creamy peanut butter and chopped peanuts for a different twist on a timeless classic. Pair with your favorite dab of preserves, jelly, or jam to finish off this joining of two traditional snacks!
